1. What cookies are

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and returned to a website. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. This notice covers the technology currently used by this site.

2. Storage currently used

• site_locale — first-party cookie; remembers the language you explicitly choose; expires after 12 months; SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. It is set only when you use the language selector and is necessary to provide that requested preference.
• cookie_consent — an entry in your browser's local storage recording whether you accepted or declined analytics. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and exists only so we can honour your choice on later visits.
• _ga and _ga_<id> — Google Analytics 4 first-party cookies that distinguish visitors and sessions. They are written only after you accept, and expire after up to two years. Declining means they are never created; withdrawing expires the ones already present.

3. Analytics and consent

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful, delivered together with a Google Tag Manager container. Neither script is requested from Google until you press Accept in the cookie banner: if you decline, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is written. Declining is a single click in the same place, at the same size, as accepting, and costs you no functionality.

You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings in the site footer. Withdrawing expires the analytics cookies already stored on your device and stops the scripts from loading again. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Google acts as our processor for this analytics data and may process it outside the EEA under the transfer safeguards described in our privacy notice. No advertising or cross-site tracking tags are configured. We will update this notice before adding any further tag to the container.

4. Browser controls

You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the language preference cookie will not prevent access to the site, but your selected language may not be remembered between visits.
